O público que comparecer à unidade do Governo de Goiás poderá acompanhar apresentações de volteio adaptado e atividades do programa de equoterapia dos pacientes do Crer

Em comemoração ao Dia Nacional da Equoterapia, o Centro Estadual de Reabilitação e Readaptação Dr. Henrique Santillo – Crer promove nesta quarta-feira, 9 de agosto, a partir das 9 horas, uma série de atividades e apresentações com os pacientes da unidade da Secretaria de Estado da Saúde de Goiás. A programação que terá desafio de volteio, demonstrações do programa de reabilitação, pré-desportivo e para-equestre, dança das cadeiras com cavalos e colaboradores e desafio das argolas é aberta ao público externo.
Pioneiro no serviço de equoterapia, o Crer soma mais de 207 mil atendimentos na unidade desde a implantação em 2004, em parceria com a Polícia Militar de Goiás (PMGO). A supervisora Multiprofissional de Terapias de Apoio do Crer, Karla Lorena Mendonça Campos, destaca que o hospital é hoje a única instituição do Governo de Goiás a oferecer esse tipo de atendimento no Estado. “A equoterapia tem um papel fundamental na recuperação de muitos pacientes, e no Crer, nós proporcionamos aos pacientes um atendimento individualizado, em um local totalmente diferente do ambiente hospitalar, que traz vários benefícios por ser um método terapêutico que emprega o cavalo como agente promotor de melhorias de nível físico e intelectual”, explica a supervisora.
Karla pontua que a equoterapia é indicada para pacientes com alguma doença que compromete a parte motora e/ou psíquica, como crianças com paralisia cerebral, síndrome de Down, autismo, entre outras. “No caso de pacientes adultos o tratamento é indicado para quem tem uma lesão medular, trauma cranioencefálico e acidente vascular cerebral, por exemplo.” Os atendimentos são realizados por profissionais qualificados e com formação nas áreas de fisioterapia, terapia ocupacional, fonoaudiologia e psicologia.
O Crer conta hoje com dez cavalos aptos a fazer o atendimento com a hipoterapia. Karla destaca a importância da parceria com a PMGO para manutenção do serviço e o cuidado com os animais. “O Regimento de Cavalaria da PMGO é fundamental para o bom funcionamento do nosso serviço. Eles fornecem a hotelaria, grande parte da alimentação dos animais e a assistência veterinária, além de possuírem anos de experiência no trato com os cavalos”, observa.
