nnnnPesquisas apontam que 20% dos diagnósticos da doença, que compromete os movimentos dos pacientes e causa tremores, lentidão, rigidez muscular, desequilíbrio e alterações na fala e na escrita, acontece entre jovens.
nnnnA doença de Parkinson não tem cura, mas o diagnóstico precoce e tratamentos multidisciplinares, clínicos e até cirúrgicos podem melhorar, e muito, a qualidade de vida do paciente.
nnnnPara chamar a atenção da sociedade para a doença, seus sintomas, a importância do diagnóstico precoce e os tratamentos fundamentais para prevenir sequelas e proporcionar bem-estar ao paciente, é celebrado em 11 de abril o Dia Mundial de Conscientização da Doença de Parkinson.
