nnnnAs acusações contra a ex-armeira do longa, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, continuam, o que mantém as investigações em aberto. Tanto Baldwin quanto Hannah se declaram inocentes desde o início das investigações.

Em outubro de 2021, um tiro acidental no set de “Rust” matou a diretora de fotografia Halyna Hutchins. Além dela, o diretor Joel Souza também foi ferido, mas se recuperou e passa bem.
Alec Baldwin alega inocência e disse que não puxou o gatilho da arma que matou Halyna. O FBI discordou da alegação do ator em relatório divulgado em 2022.
Baldwin foi acusado de homicídio culposo, quando não há intenção de matar, e iria a julgamento. Agora, porém, as acusações contra ele estão inexistentes.
nnnnHalyna Hutchins tinha 42 anos, deixou o marido Matthew Hutchins, e o filho Aldous, de 9 anos.
