Segundo uma pesquisa realizada no Centro de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade do Texas, em Houston, nos Estados Unidos, há três vacinas que combatem doenças comuns, como tétano, difteria, herpes zoster e pneumonia, e que podem reduzir o risco de desenvolver a doença de Alzheimer.
Neste estudo, os pesquisadores analisaram dados de adultos mais velhos, com 65 anos ou mais, que não apresentavam sinais de demência.
