SÃO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) – A influenciadora britânica Nicky Newman morreu segunda-feira (18) aos 35 anos -e anunciou a própria morte numa postagem se despedindo dos 300 mil seguidores.
Ela vivia com câncer de mama incurável desde os 30 anos, e compartilhava no Instagram sua rotina de tratamento. Nicky também mostrava seu dia a dia com o marido, que ficou responsável por divulgar a carta de despedida da influencer.
Na carta, Nicky pede que não falem da doença como se fosse uma batalha: “Se você está lendo isso, significa que eu morri. Mas eu aguentei por 5 anos e meio, nada mal para um câncer de mama estágio 4, né? Não quero saber de nenhuma baboseira de ‘ela lutou sua batalha’. Eu não perdi nada, o câncer eventualmente se espalhou e tudo bem, todos sabíamos que isso aconteceria”.
Conhecida pelo slogan “agarre a vida”, ela deixou conselhos para os seguidores: “Por favor, prometam apreciar as pessoas ao seu redor, e abracem muito seus amigos e família! Agarrem a vida! Você nunca sabe de verdade o que o futuro guarda -então não subestime nada”.
O marido de Nicky também deixou uma mensagem para os seguidores: “Nicky nunca aceitou nada pela metade, ela agarrou a vida com as duas mãos e tornou cada momento especial e memorável. Ela criou um legado aqui, um lugar onde todo mundo pode ver que a vida é sobre positividade e sorrisos e felicidade. Mesmo nos tempos difíceis… Mesmo quando parece impossível”.
