Um novo estudo realizado pela Luminate e compartilhado pela Variety revela qual serviço de streaming cancelou o maior número de séries entre 2020 e 2023. Dado o histórico recente da Netflix, você pode pensar que ela lideraria a lista, mas, na verdade, o líder é o Max (HBO Max em Portugal).
Vale lembrar que, no início do ano, a nova gestão da Warner Bros. Discovery cancelou diversas séries, o que pode ter contribuído para essa posição. A Disney+ aparece logo em seguida, com destaque também para a Hulu, que pertence à Disney. No entanto, é importante observar que a Paramount+ fica à frente da Netflix nessa lista.
Com menos cancelamentos de séries do que a Netflix, temos apenas a Peacock, a Prime Video da Amazon e a Apple TV+. Os responsáveis pelo estudo observam, no entanto, que a Netflix é a única empresa de streaming que melhorou sua taxa de cancelamento a cada ano desde 2020.
