nnnnAPolícia Federal investiga denúncias sobre supostas interferências políticas na superintendência de Alagoas e vazamentos de informações para lideranças políticas regionais durante as eleições. O senador Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) acusa o presidente da Câmara, Arthur Lira (PP-AL) de aparelhar e interferir politicamente no órgão. O caso chegou à coordenação-geral de assuntos internos da Corregedoria da PF, em Brasília, onde tramita um inquérito aberto no fim do ano passado.
nnnnO senador foi chamado a prestar depoimento, no fim de março, na condição de testemunha. “Ele (Lira) anunciou para todos que estava nomeando a superintendente da Polícia Federal em Alagoas, se não me engano, em junho de 2022, Juliana de Sá Pereira Gonçalves, e que ela iria fazer a investigação de um fato que havia acontecido no âmbito da Assembleia Legislativa”, disse Renan ao delegado Ramon Morais.
nnnnA investigação resultou no afastamento, ainda em outubro, do governador e então candidato à reeleição Paulo Dantas (MDB), apoiado por Renan Calheiros. Dantas foi investigado por suspeita de rachadinha na época em que era deputado estadual. A decisão partiu do Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) a pedido da PF. A operação Edema foi deflagrada durante a campanha de segundo turno da corrida estadual.
nnnnO senador também afirmou em depoimento que a delegada Juliana Sá permitiu que informações sobre a operação contra o prefeito de Rio Largo, Gilberto Gonçalves (PP), aliado de Arthur Lira, fossem vazadas para o presidente da Câmara antes de a PF ir às ruas. Em agosto, o gestor municipal foi um dos presos na Operação Beco da Pecúnia, que apura desvio de recursos, lavagem de dinheiro e organização criminosa com verbas do Fundo Nacional de Educação Básica (Fundeb) e do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS).

nnnnPor outro lado, o grupo de Lira também acusa Renan de interferência na Polícia Federal. A atuação da polícia no período eleitoral de 2022 foi assunto de brigas públicas entre Renan Calheiros e Arthur Lira. Enquanto o senador falava em vazamentos e perseguição, o deputado dizia que o rival queria apenas abafar investigações. “Ficou claro o porquê de Renan ter pedido o afastamento do superintendente da PF em AL. Queria abafar a operação Edema. Ele sabe que hoje não há interferência na PF, como na época em que ele mandava e desmandava. Ao invés de combater a corrupção, Renan quer mesmo é abafá-la”, publicou Lira, em sua conta no Twitter, no ano passado.
nnnn“Alagoas é vítima do uso político da PF e do abuso de autoridades. Pedi a troca do superintendente, cabo eleitoral de Arthur Lira que sonha com a Gestapo”, respondeu o senador.
nnnnO advogado Fábio Gomes, que representa Arthur Lira e Gilberto Gonçalves, afirmou que as afirmações disseminadas por Renan Calheiros à PF e em entrevistas são caluniosas. Por isso, o deputado e o prefeito apresentaram uma notícia-crime contra o senador. Sobre a denúncia de informações privilegiadas da operação contra Gilberto Gonçalves, o advogado afirmou que um escrivão já disse em depoimento formal que deu acesso aos dados por email depois de formalmente solicitado o acesso às investigações. “Não existe, assim, nenhum tipo de vazamento favorecendo correligionário do deputado Arthur Lira”, disse.
