Acapacidade cognitiva diminui ao longo dos anos e melhorar a saúde do cérebro é fundamental! Um estudo publicado na revista Heliyon explica que um certo tipo de jogos pode ajudar a proteger o cérebro.
A investigação avaliou o impacto que os jogos cerebrais têm na capacidade de melhorar a memória e a concentração. O estudo incluiu pessoas mais jovens e com mais idade. Foram colocados jogando jogos digitais que envolviam a memória de imagens.
Os adultos com mais de 60 apresentaram melhores resultados ao conseguirem ignorar distrações e conseguiram melhores resultados nos testes de memória.
“Os jogos de quebra-cabeça para pessoas mais velhas têm essa capacidade surpreendente de apoiar as capacidades mentais à medida em que os níveis de memória e concentração eram os mesmos de uma pessoa de 20 anos”, explica Joe Cutting, um dos responsáveis pelo estudo.
Desta forma, a investigação indica que jogos de quebra-cabeça, em comparação com jogos de estratégia e ação, são um passatempo vantajoso para pessoas mais velhas.
