A Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) confirmou, por meio da assessoria de imprensa, que o atacante Neymar foi submetido, nesta segunda-feira (15), a outro exame de controle.
O procedimento faz parte do processo de recuperação do camisa 10, que trata uma lesão grau dois na panturrilha direita que o impossibilita de ir a campo – mesmo para treinar – desde a convocação para a Copa do Mundo, nos Estados Unidos, no México e no Canadá.
O atleta de 34 anos ficou novamente fora de um trabalho de campo da seleção brasileira no Columbia Park, centro de treinamento do New York Red Bulls, em Morristown. A presença do atacante no jogo de sexta-feira (19), às 21h30 (horário de Brasília), contra o Haiti, na Filadélfia, pela segunda rodada do Grupo C, é incerta e cada vez mais improvável, apesar da expectativa, reconhecida pelo técnico Carlo Ancelotti na última semana, de poder contar com o jogador.
Desde que se apresentou à seleção brasileira, no último dia 27 de maio, na Granja Comary, em Teresópolis (RJ), Neymar realizou apenas sessões de fisioterapia e atividades de fortalecimento e preparação física. Quando questionados sobre o estágio da recuperação do atacante, CBF e Ancelotti têm dito apenas que ele está “evoluindo bem”.
Ainda em Teresópolis, Neymar realizou um exame de ressonância magnética que confirmou a gravidade da lesão na panturrilha. No último dia 17, ou seja, dez dias antes de ele se apresentar na Granja Comary, o Santos informou que o atacante tinha somente um edema, por conta de uma “leve pancada” sofrida na derrota por 3 a 0 para o Coritiba, na Neo Química Arena, em São Paulo, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro.
Posteriormente, o clube paulista comunicou que Neymar estaria “apto a voltar às atividades” até 31 de maio. O médico da CBF, Rodrigo Lasmar, porém, informou que o camisa 10 ainda precisaria de um tempo de recuperação entre duas e três semanas. O prazo termina nesta quarta-feira (17).O Brasil estreou na Copa do Mundo com um empate por 1 a 1 com Marrocos no sábado (13), em Nova Jersey. As duas seleções somam um ponto. Na ocasião, Neymar ficou no banco de reservas e apoiou os companheiros durante a partida.
