(FOLHAPRESS) – Pelo menos três ministros do STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal) avaliam que o senador Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), inspirado pelo governo americano, fez uma guinada extremista ao espalhar desinformação sobre as urnas eletrônicas.
Eles compartilham a percepção de políticos de que o pré-candidato abandonou o discurso de moderação na pré-campanha -o que foi tido como um erro estratégico pelo centrão.
Já o presidente do TSE (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral), Kassio Nunes Marques, disse a interlocutores entender que as declarações do parlamentar a embaixadores estrangeiros nesta terça-feira (21) são menos graves do que as feitas pelo seu pai, o ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro, durante a campanha eleitoral de 2022.
Em uma palestra promovida pela consultoria Novo Selo Comunicação e pelo site The Brazilian Report, Flávio disse que os Estados Unidos denunciaram fraudes nas eleições da Venezuela e que as urnas utilizadas no país são da mesma empresa que fornece equipamentos ao Brasil, o que não é verdade.
Kassio, nomeado para o STF por Jair Bolsonaro, optou por não se posicionar publicamente sobre a afirmação falsa. O TSE apenas republicou um esclarecimento antigo na seção “Fato ou Boato” da corte.
Intitulada “Smartmatic, que forneceu urnas para a Venezuela, nunca vendeu aparelhos para o Brasil”, a nota, publicada em 2020 e atualizada em 2022, diz que a empresa perdeu a licitação para a Positivo Tecnologia.
Depois, no lugar de rebater a fala de Flávio, o TSE divulgou um vídeo em que o ministro discursa no mesmo evento de que o senador participou, mas cinco dias antes, e defende aos embaixadores e diplomatas a confiabilidade das urnas eletrônicas. “O Brasil desenvolveu uma das mais sofisticadas estruturas de integridade eleitoral existentes no mundo”, afirmou Kassio na ocasião.
Para a ala do Supremo que é crítica à postura de Kassio, o falso paralelo entre as urnas venezuelanas e brasileiras não pode ser minimizado pelo TSE -especialmente porque, segundo esses magistrados, Flávio parece replicar um discurso do presidente americano Donald Trump, abrindo margem para interferências externas nas eleições.
Um ministro disse que as declarações são absurdas e que o TSE tem precedentes no sentido de que a disseminação de fake news sobre as urnas pode levar à inelegibilidade. Foi o que ocorreu com Bolsonaro, que, diante de uma plateia de embaixadores no Palácio da Alvorada, levantou suspeitas infundadas de fraude no sistema eletrônico de votação.
Kassio, entretanto, vê diferenças entre os dois casos, segundo relatou a um interlocutor. Para ele, enquanto Bolsonaro falou expressamente sobre suspeita de fraude, Flávio disse que não estava questionando o sistema, apenas pedindo aos embaixadores que seus países enviassem observadores para acompanhar o pleito brasileiro.
Outra diferença, segundo Kassio, seria que, na ocasião da reunião com embaixadores em julho de 2022, Bolsonaro era presidente da República e pré-candidato à reeleição, e se utilizou da máquina pública (dependências do Alvorada, transmissão pela TV Brasil) para espalhar mentiras sobre as urnas, o que não se aplicaria ao caso de Flávio.
Para outros dois ministros do TSE, a desinformação propagada por Flávio é grave e exige atenção, pois pode marcar o início de uma escalada golpista como a engendrada por Bolsonaro nas últimas eleições gerais. O ex-presidente cumpre pena de 27 anos e três meses de prisão por liderar essas articulações, que culminaram nos atos de 8 de janeiro.
Embora tenha escolhido não se manifestar institucionalmente sobre as declarações do senador, filho de quem o indicou para o Supremo, Kassio tem dito a auxiliares que a integridade do sistema eleitoral deve ser defendida e que o TSE tem uma série de campanhas em curso sobre esse tema.
